What is it like getting a belly-button piercing

Mine did not hurt at all. There was a little pinch. You do not want to wear anything that would push against it for a good while. Loose clothing. I had no problems with infection or anything else. Mine did not even get red when it was done. I guess I was lucky. Of course, my daughter was mad that I went & did it myself & did not go with her to do it. Another thing. pick the belly button ring u would not mind wearing for a long time. I did not change mine out for ove a year. It was vey well healed by then.

I used to have quite a few piercings (belly button [top & bottm], eyebrow, beauty spot, plus a few [no, not dodgy places] others.. the belly button hurts quite a bit but it is definately tolerable.. not too much worse than ur ears (ears being a 4 on a pain scale of 1-10 & belly button a 5.5). yes it does get infected easily if u wear pants/skirts which rub up against it & irritate it. They key thing is to have it done at a reputable body piercing place, always keep it clean, & whatever u do NEVER keep on playing with/touching it.. to keep it clean u do not need to buy any special product just boil some water & mix in a bit of sea-salt & then, when cooled, put it on the piercing (esp. when you've just had the piercing done)..hope this helps & have fun - getting a piercing is a real adrenaline rush!

I had my navel pierced 7 years ago-when I was 16, it did not hurt at all. Over all it was like a pinching feeling, & it happened so fast it was over before I knew it.
Just make sure u go somewhere that uses a sterile technique to avoid infection. You also need to follow the piercers' instructions on how to clean it. Usually antibacterial soap, like Dial, twice a day. & make sure u rinse well. Or u can use Bactine, in which u can buy at Wal Mart for around $4.this is solution will disinfect it & slightly numb it to ease any uncomfort.
Do not put anything like vasoline, lotion, or neosporin on it. Do wear pants that r lower waisted, & keep ur hands away from it(although u r going to be temped to play with it). Do not change the ring until it has healed.
Follow these rules & u should have a very pleasant experience.

The pain is about the same and it will seem like everyone will bump into your stomach afterwards. You have to wear the right kind of pants so that they are not constantly rubbing against the piercing.
You have to keep it clean to cuz it can get infected a lot. I have had mine done for years and occassionally it still gets infected.

Very few know that belly button is tied by the doctor after the birth of the child. This is the entry point from which child takes all the liquid diet from mothers womb when it is not born. It is a very sensitive area and pron to infection. Therefore I would advice today is young gals not to pierce it for heaven sake.Please take this advice positively and no hard feeling.

It feels like a quick pinch. The real pain is afterwards, you cant bend over and lay on your stomach. Whatever you do dont over clean it because this will infect it.

it hurt really bad and when they Perice it a piece of skin come out they do not just Perice it like your ears and it gets infected really ez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it hurt more than what my tongue piercing did. big time. Just take good care of it and it will be ok.

My navel hurt more than my nose but it was over before I could even react to it. They can get infected easily. Go with titanium or niobium for ur jewelry. That reduces the risk. Buy a box of chamomile tea, make a cup then use the tea bag as a compress on ur piercing. Chamomile is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory & antiseptic. You can do that as often as u want. It also helps draw out impurities.

You might want to crash on the couch for a week or two, just to keep from sleeping on ur stomach. I slept on my piercing & it did not get infected, but it got really irritated.

Yes it does. I have both. I had my tongue piereced a few times. Could not decide if I really wanted it. And my belly button hurt more than any other pierceing, ears or tonuge. I actually shivered, but it is a very quick piercing, so it is tolerable. it does get infected easily, cause your belly button collects any sweat or dirt from your tummy, plus your clothes. Be extra dilligent about cleaning it ALL the time. And keep your jeans away from your tummy...that hurts.

Haha, I actually went with a friend to get her belly done, she'd panic from begin to end. She has not been infected, she has clean it well. I'd say it hurts, snice she was crying and screaming.
